Limitations and Exclusions of Student Health Insurance Plans

If you are student and you are required to present health insurance plan before enrollment then you should prepare to make certain research in order to choose that insurance plan which cover s all needs which might be important and necessary to you. You can look for suitable health insurance plan among insurance companies, which offer health insurance policies for students, or you may study health insurance plan offered by your college or university. The man thing on which you have to pay attention is those expenses, which this health insurance plan covers. Then it is necessary to read very carefully such part of health insurance plan, which is called “Exclusions and Limitations”. Do you know what this part includes? Under the term “exclusions”, you can read those health services and procedures, which are not covered by your health insurance. To such things belong pre-existing conditions, congenital conditions, cosmetic procedures, maternity, transsexual surgery, elective surgeries, treatment of drug and alcohol addictions, plastic surgery and others.
Under the term “limitations”, it means those services and procedures quantity of which is limited.
