Students’ Health Insurance

February 27th, 2008

If you a poor student but with great ambitions to travel during your study, you will not be able to do it without the health insurance. It is much more cheaper to use your medical insurance abroad then to pay by yourself as the prices are too high.

If you want to study abroad you can obtain travel insurance and at this point medical service is included. The term of the insurance may also differ according to your needs and according to companies which provide such a service (from 10 days till up to year). If you know for sure that you are going to stay in this or that country more than a year it is more profitable for you to take a long-term health insurance. It is cheaper to pay one time than to pay for example every month.

While receiving a medical insurance you will have to give a piece of information about you and your family, about your trip and main purposes of it and of course this information has to be correct one. The amount of the information differs from one institution to another. But there are some common questions to be asked. So, here goes a list of question which you will be obviously asked.

  • The state or country where you want to enter an educational institution.
  • The exact term of being abroad (at this point the date of the first day and the last one should be included).
  • They also have to know how old you are (at this point you have also to mention the age of your closest relative).

While choosing an insurance company first of all get to know how many years do this establishment exist. Try to know the rate of it and if it is possible choose that very establishment about which you have got good recommendations.
